Preferred Choice, Inc. is a Manufacturers’ Rep and Wholesale Agency serving Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. Preferred Choice has established strong relationships with Midwest distributors and catalog houses over the last 25 years, allowing us to bring together these buyers with leading manufacturers in the industrial supply, construction supply, concrete supply, rental and roofing markets.

Our Team

John Tschosik, Owner

With more than 25 years of experience in industrial and construction distributor sales, John has worked as a manufacturer’s rep for the last 11 years. With Roy Bach & Associates, John grew sales from 15-30% annually. In 2011, John established Preferred Choice, Inc., a manufacturer’s rep firm and wholesale business. John is a Certified Sales Professional (CSP) and Certified Professional Manufacturer’s Rep (CPMR). He is a member of MANA and STAFDA. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Illinois State University.

J.D. Sanders, Sales Manager

J.D. spent 10 years in law enforcement, working as a Patrol Officer, Detective and Patrol Sergeant. Between 2017 and 2019, he served as the Operations Manager for Rock River Cartage trucking company. Throughout his career, J.D. has relied on his strong communication skills to achieve numerous successes and solve on-the-job problems. J.D. received his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Illinois University in 2007 and his Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Purdue University in 2014.

Brad Johnson, Territory Representative

Brad spent 14 years in law enforcement, fulfilling various roles to include Police Officer, Firearms Instructor, SWAT Team Operator, and Patrol Sergeant. His years in law enforcement have taught him the value of integrity, transparency, accountability, problem resolution, and quality communication.  Brad also has experience owning and running his own laser engraving business.

David Smith, Inside Sales

Dave has worked in the construction supply business for 30 years. He has worked for several of the supply houses in the Chicagoland area, starting as a driver, advancing to inside sales, buyer, and branch manager. Dave also worked for three years in transportation, delivering across the USA and Canada. Prior to joining Preferred Choice, Dave worked for Roy Bach & Associates as an inside sales person for nearly three years. Dave attended Olivet Nazarene College, studying Business and Communications.

Maureen Tschosik, Office and Marketing Manager

Maureen has over 20 years of marketing communications experience in industries ranging from telecom to primary steel to non-profit. Her experience includes website development and maintenance, email marketing, CRM management, tradeshow management and public relations. She has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
